We know from history when the Germans first released mustard gas and again when Sadaam Hussein gassed innocent Kurdish women and children that someday another maniac would try to do it again. The likelihood of some terrorist or radical government deploying fungal or toxic spores or bacterial or viral infections and diseases in the air in an attempt to simultaneously kill millions of people has existed for decades. 

In the early 1990’s the United States Department of Defense and Department of Energy worked alongside the world’s brightest minds at Sandia National Laboratories to find a way to safely decontaminate soldiers and equipment exposed to “weapons of mass destruction”  WMD’s. What resulted was a sudsy foam capable of neutralizing anthrax spores and yet completely non toxic. Prior to this revolutionary development the US Military was forced to use bleach on surfaces and soldiers to try and decontaminate from potential toxic exposure. But the remedy of using bleach was more toxic than the problem. Soldiers were getting sick and the equipment was corroding. 

In 2007 a license to use the technology was sold to a manufacturer in Aurora, Colorado. That manufacturer blended the technology and sold a two part formula that could now be deployed into the air as a mist which became a fog. The original formula killed anthrax spores by poking holes in it and then by eating itself made the environment completely toxin free.

This new advancement, manufacturer and their chemist made using this technology practical and possible inside of homes, schools, day cares, sport facilities and gyms, food service organizations, in police and fire departments, churches, public facilities, doctors offices and hospital rooms, commercial buildings and industrial plants. It could kill more germs, virus, bacteria and diseases. For the first time ever, cleaning became sanitizing and a 99.99999% efficacy known as LOG KILL 7, became possible without creating more toxins or killing “good bacteria.”  The products would make bleach, ethynol, alcohol and triclosan based products obsolete in the world of disinfection because all leave caustic gases and VOC’s behind. And of course none of these or cleaners claiming to be “Green” would become more effective over time, kill health threats from the air or leave behind protective barriers to prevent cross contamination on surfaces and within eight hours becomes completely inert, PH Neutral and biodegradable. The applications and many uses were so exciting. 

They authorized SafeHouse Solutions located in Solon OH as a Master Distributor in 2008 with approval to sell their complete line of products sold under the name DepHyze. Our initial territory was the State of OH and our mission was to develop and grow business opportunities specifically with the US Federal Government and state agencies, along with identifying distributors already successfully selling into the government market. 

SafeHouse approached Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and submitted an unsolicited proposal to sell our mold remediation products to them. At the same time independent research over the last 30 years was indicating a rise in asthma and allergies at alarming rates. The EPA was quickly accepting the facts and making the connection to asthma and other mysterious illnesses to poor indoor air, toxins from allergens, dust, pet dander, cat saliva, odors caused by bacteria and mycotoxins left behind from molds. Due to moisture intrusion problems and high humidity indoors. At around the same time HUD’s Lead Program initiatives were now going to include funding to create healthier indoor air environments which included remediation services. For years HUD was seeking a safe and effective solution that was smart and cost saving for creating a healthy home resulting in an award of a service contract for SafeHouse Solutions. Funding is provided by Mahoning County Health Department and the patients selected from a local children’s hospital and list of applicable candidates. 

What we're finding is astonishing. Almost every home tested has been contaminated by varying degrees of molds and all have been diagnosed with chaetomium and or stachybotrys. Our process has successfully achieved clearance under the worst of circumstances, reduced if not eliminated asthma and allergy symptoms all together, killed germs, virus and diseases, reduced significantly emergency room visits and improved the environments and health for whole families.
